You enjoy the day.
We'll handle every detail.
Personalised planning for weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations, with one local planner looking after your suppliers, your timeline and your setup.
The Wedding & Event Collective is a Toowoomba-based wedding and event planner serving couples, businesses and families across the Darling Downs. Sue offers personalised wedding planning, on-the-day coordination, corporate event management and private celebration planning, handling suppliers, styling and setup so clients can relax and enjoy their day.
Hi, I'm Sue. I started The Wedding & Event Collective because I believe the people at the centre of a celebration should get to enjoy it.
Too often the bride ends up fixing the seating chart on the morning of her wedding, or the office manager spends her own Christmas party checking on the caterer. My job is to take all of that off your plate.
When you book with us, you get me. I take your first call, meet your suppliers, build your timeline and stay on the day until the last guest has gone home.

Whatever you're celebrating, you'll get the same calm, personal planning, from the first ideas to the final pack-down.
From your first venue tour to the last song of the night, Sue manages your suppliers, your timeline and every small detail, so you get to be fully present on the day.

Trusted local caterers, hire companies and florists
No handovers, no juniors, no repeating yourself. One planner who knows every detail of your day.
From homestead weddings outside Toowoomba to winery receptions on the Granite Belt, we know the venues, the suppliers and the details that make a Darling Downs event run smoothly.
We work with florists, caterers, stylists and hire companies we know and trust, and we coordinate them all for you.
Every package lists exactly what's included, and we'll tell you upfront if something isn't worth spending money on.
"You've planned enough. On the day, your only job is to be there. We'll take care of the rest."

Planning a Darling Downs wedding from Brisbane? We're your eyes and ears on the ground. See how wedding planning works.
A wedding planner manages the planning and running of your wedding. That includes helping you choose and book suppliers, managing quotes and contracts, building your timeline and running the day itself, so nothing lands on you or your family. How involved we are depends on the wedding planning package you choose.
It depends on how much help you need. On-the-day coordination costs less than full planning from engagement to wedding day. We'll give you a clear, written quote after your free planning call, so you know exactly what's included before you commit.
Your venue coordinator looks after the venue: the room, the kitchen and their staff. We look after you, your other suppliers and the whole day's timeline. The two work well side by side, and most venue coordinators are glad to have one point of contact.
You plan the wedding and book your suppliers, then we step in about 4 to 6 weeks before to confirm every detail, build the run sheet and manage the whole day. It's ideal for organised couples who want to be fully present. See on-the-day wedding coordination.
For full planning, 12 to 18 months before your wedding is ideal, especially for popular spring and autumn dates on the Downs. For on-the-day coordination, 3 to 6 months is usually enough. If your date is sooner, get in touch anyway. We'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Yes. We plan end-of-year parties, awards nights, client functions and team events for businesses across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. You give us one brief, and we handle the venue, suppliers, styling and run sheet. See corporate event planning.
